It is amazing how many men are ignorant of the role God gave to them on earth. This role was given in package; to take responsibility and be initiators in their families, communities and street corners, yet many are living contrary to this principal instruction from the Almighty God. God spiritually created man in his image and likeness, afterwards He formed man (male) from the dust of the earth to be the one to inhabit on earth before the female.
We then see God give man the instructions of which tree to eat and not to eat in Genesis 2:16. The ignorance caused by the lack of knowledge causes many to perish. In the beginning God did not create man to love his wife but to take care of her, possibly many can ask why I say this. It is be cause man was already filled with Gods nature: love. We are all familiar with the story of the surgeon that God performed when He put Adam to deep sleep and took out the rib from him to form Eve.
As Adam woke up, He saw the blessing before him that was ayzar (suitable helper) that was comparable to him. We know that what happened in the garden but Glory be to God who leads us in triumph in Christ (2 Cor 2:14). Notice after the woman ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil nothing happened but after the man ate it they started to realise that they were naked.
WHY? Because the man lost the glory and it also affected his companion, this evidently shows how God trusted man to carry out instructions given to him. It also shows us that there are things that God can accept from a female but will never tolerate from a male.
Most men are living contrary to the divine plan of God for their lives, that is why the world in such a turmoil state. Men are ineffective in playing the role that God has ordained for them to fulfil. If only men could stand the heat and endure hardness that comes with being a man and not give up then everything around us will be affected by the glory that God deposited into us. If a man does not fulfil his role, women will want to assume that position and will not want to let go of it. Today mothers are becoming the fathers in their homes and this causes confusion in many boys and girls lives.
It’s no surprise today to see boys growing up trying to act like their moms and girls growing up with the mentality of having the children and not having husbands.
God did not create a man to be a quitter but to be a builder. No matter the circumstances never give up on what God has given to you; whether it’s a business, marriage or family. Endure-hardness like a soldier and march forward to achieving your goal. Many men have given up on their marriages and forgotten that it was created by and for God. They have grown accustomed to consoling themselves in failure and it should not be so. We must be winning in all aspects of our lives. Men let us affect the world with little that we can do.
Let us cease from being quiet about matters that affect our communities, families and also our actions should represent us as men. By so doing Gods glory will be back in our lives and the future will be brighter. As a man, never hold someone responsible and never blame anything for your life. Always challenge yourself to do more for God and others.
Be accountable for your life and others. Be a man after God’s own heart. Be rooted in God.
